Ray Ehrlich, after a brief and sudden illness, went to be with the Lord while sleeping peacefully on the morning of January 19, 2017. He was born October 9, 1929 to Fred and Elizabeth Ehrlich in Windsor, CO. Ray worked the family farm and graduated from Windsor High School in 1948. In 1951 he was drafted into the U.S. Army, attended basic training in Hawaii, and was stationed in Munich, Germany. Ray met Lavonne Deines at a German Dutch Hop while on leave in Colorado and they were married on August 19, 1952. Together they raised their sons Michael, Gregory and Bryan on the farm north of Windsor until 1984. Afterwards he travelled throughout the country fishing, sightseeing, and working odds jobs. He moved to Minnesota and hired on as a part-time farmhand amongst other activities. In 2012 he moved to Monument, CO where he lived until his death.

Ray was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing, big game hunting, trap-shooting, and running a goose hunting operation on the farm. While in Hawaii, Ray fell in love with the sound of Hawaiian music, which he listened to, along with German Polka music, all his days.

Ray is survived by his sons Michael (Judy) Ehrlich and Bryan (Mary Sue) Ehrlich; siblings Geneva Reichert and Paul Ehrlich; grandchildren Joshua, Jennifer, Jacob, Katie, and Luke; step grandchildren JD, Jonathan, and Jordan; and six great-grandchildren. Ray is proceeded in death by his son Gregory, sisters Lillian and Frieda, his parents Fred and Elizabeth, his grandparents, his great grandparents, his great, great, grandparents and every generation going back to Adam.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, January 27, 2017 At Timberline Windsor Church in Windsor, CO.
