Patricia Ann Giffen Cullers, 82, departed this life on Friday, August 26, 2022.
Cremation Society of Virginia is in charge of her arrangements. Pat was born December 4, 1939 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to Arthur Frederick Giffen and Ruby Irene Finch.

She is survived by her husband Robert Miller Cullers, biological sons: Daniel George Edkin of Auburn, NY, William Allen Edkin of Elmira, NY (Patricia), Alan Jay Smith (Hope Dewey) of Baton Rouge, LA, and biological daughters: Tari Lynn Lawson (Ken) of Gilbertsville, PA, Joy LeAnne Niemerg (Kevin) of Gainesville, VA. Three other (children): Michele Rathbun (Mark), Gerald Smith, Jr. (Brenda), Rebecca Smith, (Al) of Oneonta, NY, step-daughter Suesan Fern Soto (Michael) of Tarpon Springs, FL, 10 natural grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and three sisters: Mary Anna Evans of Brooksville, FL, Betty Lou Lane of Hackleburg, GA, and Edna Jean Calton of Brooksville, FL, plus Furby, the last of her five cats.

She was pre-deceased by her brother, Walter Frederick Giffen, her sister Margaret Irene Roads, her son James Arthur Edkin, step-daughter, Dina Cullers and step-son Christopher Cullers.

Pat is a graduate of Elmira Free Academy, in Elmira, NY, and attended various in-house and college classes to further her education. Pat had been active in: The Isaac Walton League of America, Secretary-Front Royal Anti-Litter Council, Fraternal Order of Police, Volunteers in Police Service, was a life member and docent of the Warren County Heritage Society, a docent at Skyline Caverns, member of Samuels Library, member of the "Sarah's Circle" of the Front Royal United Methodist Church, and volunteered in the county 18 years as a voting officer and was a proud member of the "Rockland Singers". She was previously employed by: Skyline Caverns, Heritage Hall, Warren County School District, and Home Instead Senior care in Virginia. She worked in Pennsylvania for 27 1/2 years for IMS America as a Medical Information Specialist, 9 1/2 years for Tafford Manufacturing Company as a Customer Service Representative and part-time as a CNA. Her last few years were spent as a pet-sitter, caring for her furry friends.

Pat was a giving and sympathetic soul and will be deeply missed by her family and innumerable friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the Front Royal United Methodist Church on October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rachel Plemmons officiating.

Donations may be made to: the Front Royal United Methodist Church, The Humane Society, C-Cap, United Way or Salvation Army.
