Anita "Gail'' Brown, 62, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at her home.
She attended Central Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by husband and soul mate, Edward W. Brown; and her parents, Eugene and Imogene Woods.
Survivors include her late husband's daughters: Sherrie McConnell (Steve) of Cleveland, and Mary Collins (Craig) of Destin, Fla.; four grandchildren: Houston McConnell (Beth), Grayson McConnell, Molly McConnell and Maggie Yarbrough; three great-grandchildren: Rylie Yarbrough and Owen and Maddox McConnell; her loving sister, Eugenia McGuire; one brother, Eddie D. Woods (Vivian); aunt, Billie D. Geren Harris; special friends, Ken and Bobbie Jones and Lisa Garner; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Entombment will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Steve McConnell, Houston McConnell, Grayson McConnell, Ken Jones, Jeff King and Gene Garner will serve as pallbearers.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to: Women's Oncology Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, 1270 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402 or online at www.wofogc.org.
