Irvin attended Wheatfield Public Schools. He married Sue Wireman on June 7, 1971, in DeMotte, IN. Irvin worked as factory employee responsible for making box cars. He was affiliated with the Gifford Church of God. When not working, Irvin enjoyed whittling wood and tinkering with his lawn mower.
Irvin is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Irvin Paul Stone of Kentland, IN, Sheila Ann (Edward) Dunn of Morocco, IN; grandchildren, Kyle J. Manns, Skilar P. Stone; brothers, Jeral Stone of Wheatfield, IN and Ernie (Susie) Stone of Goodland, IN.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.
