Alma Cherry was born April 28, 1925, to Tom Cherry and Cora Rominger-Cherry in Sartoria.

Alma started her spiritual journey Sept. 10, 2014, in Broken Bow.

She is survived by her husband, Don Fries; her brother, Clarence Cherry of Mt. Orb, Ohio; daughter, Shirley Carter of Ansley; step-daughter, Sally Babbitt (Steve) of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Karen Workman of Rapid City, S.D., and Susan Keffeler (Randy) of Red Owl, S.D.; step-granddaughter, Carrie McCormick (Aaron, and daughter, Jocelyn) of Gibbon; and Levi Babbit of Lincoln. Alma had two great-grandchildren, Austin Keffeler of Custer, S.D., and Chaney Keffeler of Red Owl, S.D.; and a very special friend and cousin, Alan and Sandra Kelley. Alma also had several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews in Ohio and numerous cousins in Nebraska. Alma had many loving friends that she thought dearly of.

Alma is preceded in death by her late husband, Homer Davis; her parents, Tom and Cora; her brother, Lloyd Cherry of Bethel, Ohio; sister, Hazel Harmon of Science Hill, Ky.; and her son, Gary Carter of Blanchester, Ohio.

Funeral services were Sept. 15, at the Ansley Methodist Church. Burial was at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery south of Litchfield. Iverson Memorial Chapel of Broken Bow was in charge of arrangements.
