Mrs. Louise Menke, wife of H. B. Menke, died at 4:45 o'clock Tuesday morning in the family residence, 1619 North Twelfth street. Death was caused by a complication of diseases due to advanced age. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born in Quincy May 9, 1842, and was 73 years old. She was the daughter of the late John Brockschmidt, a former jeweler, of Quincy. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic church in her early days and was married to Mr. Menke, in the St. Boniface church, June 27, 1865. Mrs. Menke had lived in the St. John's Catholic church parish for the last 20 years and was a member of the Ladies societies of St. Boniface, St. John's and St. Francis Catholic churches and the St. Vincent Home and St. Mary's hospital societies.

She leaves her husband, H. B. Menke, two sons, Joseph B. and Frank H. Menke; four daughters, Mrs. Emil Weichlein, Mrs. Charles Johannes, Miss Mary and Agnes Menke; eleven grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Hoeckleman, Miss Mary and Miss Agnes
