Evelyn "Rena" Komro August 16th 1931- October 4th 2022
Born to Ciro and Elena Blandini in San Francisco, she was the last of four daughters. Libia, Zeffera and Carmela took great care of their baby sister especially after she lost her father at the tender age of seven years old. Rena grew up in Daly City with her mother and sisters until she met and married William Komro in 1952. She worked at the phone company and the railroad and after 20 years with the United States Post Office at the San Francisco facility she joined her husband in retirement. By moving to Sonoma County, it brought Bill and Rena closer to their son David. Rena enjoyed clam digging with her family in the early years, gambling especially with her sister Carmela in Reno and hosting Crab Cioppino New Years Day which included lots of dancing with family and friends.
Rena is preceded in death by her loving son David Komro, husband of 64 years William Komro and her sisters, Libia Foglesong, Zeffera Mcgrayne and Carmela Harmon. She is survived by her loving daughters Bonnie Jo Komro and Kathleen Pedone (Mike); Grandchildren Serrina DeBaca (Jesse), Tony Hensley, Tiffany Komro, Ben Boulier, Michael Hensley (Emily), Billy Boulier, Stefania Hensley and Alyssa Melanson; Great-Grandchildren, Gabriel DeBaca, Jesse DeBaca, Conner Callejas, Sophia DeBaca, Dominic Villarreal, Jackson Hensley and waiting the arrival of Hailey Hensley; as well as many nieces, nephews and may friends.
We will always remember her love for champagne, dancing and a little bit of sass.
Funeral services will be held on October 12th 2022 at 11am Pieta' Chapel, Italian Cemetery in Colma, CA.
