Macclenny, July 26 - (Special) Sheriff A. J. Sweat died here at 8:30 o'clock this morning. He was stricken last week with an attack of paralyze from which he never recovered, despite the most careful attention and the best medical care. Mr. Sweat was appointed sheriff about six months ago and in the June primary he was nominated for the office for a full term. He was one of Baker County's most prominent citizens, aged about sixty years. He
is survived by his wife and a large number of children and grandchildren."
