Elaine was born on February 22, 1927, in Lind, WA., to Otto Gfeller and Edith Gfeller. She passed away peacefully on June 11, 2018, in McMinnville, OR.
Elaine graduated from Lind High school in 1945 and attended Eastern Washington State College (EWU) from 1946-1949.
In 1949, she married Robert C. Harvey in the Lind Methodist Church.
Elaine worked for the Spokane School District 81 food service for 32 years, retiring from Grant Elementary as the cafeteria manager in 1992.
While living in Spokane, she became a member of the Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by children Douglas & (Susan); Terri (Gary); four granddaughters' seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Harvey; and great-grandson, Preston Evans of San Antonio, TX.
She was dedicated to her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Following a private ceremony, Elaine will be returned to her family's farm in Lind.
