Mrs. N. C. Goad returned Thursday evening from Ripley, where she had been called to attend the bedside of her father, Mr. H. W. Meyer, who died at 12 o’clock Wednesday. Mr. Meyer was born and raised in Brunswick, Germany, coming to this country when 28 years old. The funeral services were held at Asbury church Thursday evening, after which he was laid to rest in Asbury cemetery. Mr. Meyer leaves four children: Mrs. J. E. Rose, Mrs. Zeb Gaines, Mr. C. A. Meyer, all of Ripley, and Mrs. N. C. Goad, of Covington.
