Children were Flora Mabel Fox[married Francis Wesley "Frank" Cole] and Hiram David Fox[married Ella Catherine Woods].

Lydia Jane (Twombley) Fox and John Lewis Fox, went to Kansas by covered wagon to see the very ill grandmother. A couple of days after they arrived, Nov. 1898, the grandmother, Julie Ann (Bevans) Fox, died. Bad weather set in and the family could not get back to their home in Clarke co., Iowa till spring. John L. Fox was the only "Fox" to stay on in Clarke co. after the Foxs' and Bevans' moved to Kansas to make their fortune(?) - William Bevans the youngest brother of Julie Fox, also stayed on in Clarke co."
