Services were Saturday at 2 p.m, in the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home for Mrs. Sylvia Gummer Hagen, 72, who died in Chester Feb. 17.

Officating at the funeral rites was the Rev. Jack Rampelberg. Pallbearers were Clarence Welch, Kenneth Engebretson, Willis Cady, Del Anderson, Arthur Morrison and Tom Gummer. Mrs. Charles Griffith accompanied Mrs. Don Swinney who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art." Interment was in the Gildford cemetery.

Born in Buffalo, Kan., Aug. 5, 1898, Mrs. Hagen came to Gildford in 1912 and made her home in the area since that time. She married Charles Gummer in Havre Jan. 3, 1916, and he preceded her in death. In Hingham in 1959 she married Jens Hagen, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Donovan Gummer of Chester, Thomas Gummer, Spokane, Sivert Gummer, Butte and Earl Gummer; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One brother and one son, Morris preceded her in death.
