Merlyce Jean Albrecht, 74, of Lincoln, died January 1, 2023. Born September 29, 1948, in Wakefield Nebraska, the daughter of Hans and Alma Geewe. She married Donald Albrecht on June 7, 1970, in Wayne Nebraska.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Midland University, then taught for several years. Later, she then earned her Master of Business Administration Degree at UNL. She worked for more than 32 years as the Marketing Director and Business Manager at AlbrechtGFX, Inc., a scientific illustration and animation company.

Her interests included genealogy, keeping in touch with family and friends in Europe, stained glass, and working on the acreage and family commercial vineyard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Alma Geewe, and sister, Marion Paulson.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church, 1551 S 70th St, Lincoln, NE on Saturday January 14 at 2:00 PM.
