Burt Woman Succumbs;
Services Held Friday

Burt-Funeral services for Mrs. Emil Hasse, 54, who died suddenly at her home early Monday morning, were held Friday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church, the Rev. Ferdinand Reith conducting the service. Burial was in the Burt cemetery.
Mary Wojahn was born Sept. 26, 1892, at Emmetsburg. She spent her girlhood there and was married June 20, 1917, to Emil Haase. To this union 8 children were born; Ruth who is a nurse at the University hospital at Iowa City; Alvina, Albert, Caroline, Emil; Jr., Paul, Esther, and John at home.
The Hasses spent the early part of their married life near Emmetsburg, but in 1933 moved to Fenton, and 4 years later to Burt, which has since been their home.
Mrs. Hasse is survivied by her husband, her 8 children, 2 sisters, Mrs. William Maroschek, Ayrshire, Mrs. Gus Maroschek, Ruthven, and a brother, Gus Wojahn, Emmetsburg.
