Charles "Chuck" R. Stadtfeld age 81 passed away on January 17, 2020. A Funeral Mass for Chuck will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, January 20thfrom 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday at the church. Burial will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery.

Chuck was known for his sense of humor and love for family and neighbors. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael Parish and a 3rdDegree Knight of Columbus. His passions included Right to Life Organizations, Wheatland Music Organization, American Red Cross and Saint Michael's School.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ardath (Frost) Stadtfeld; their children, Christine (Steve) Seager of Grayling, Bill (Sandy) Stadtfeld of Mecosta, Irene (Kevin) Byrne of Wolverine, John (Lisa) Stadtfeld of Mecosta and Rayla (Tom) Voelker of Lakeview. He was the proud grandfather of Matt (Kaitlin) Seager, Jill (Ross) Herr, Jeff (Magan) Stadtfeld, Jason (Sarah) Stadtfeld, Andy (Katelyn) Stadtfeld, Kyle Byrne, Megan Byrne, Kayla Stadtfeld, Joshua Stadtfeld, Kerstin Stadtfeld, Jacob Voelker, and Jenna Voelker, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Those who preceded Chuck in death are his parents, Pauline and Leo Bott, and his father, Frank Stadtfeld who passed away when Chuck was a young boy.
