Martha I. Starline, 70, of West Alexandria, died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Sycamore Medical Center in Miamisburg following major surgery.

Born March 28, 1935, she was the daughter of Wilmer and Mabel (Leinbach) Brubaker. She graduated from Lanier High School in 1953 and had resided in the West Alexandria area all her life. She retired in 1990 from Dayton Power and Light after 33 years of service. She was a longtime member of the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren and was active in various church endeavors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Starline; sister and brother-in-law, Vera and William Doane.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ron Brickerd of New Bern, N.C.; cousins, Jo Ann Donson, Charles Leinbach, Karen Crosier and Reid Brubaker; nephews, William Doane, James Doane, Scott Ledwell, Timothy Ledwell, Ronald Brickerd and Shawn Brickerd; nieces, Kae Johnson and Delana Wilhoit; stepdaughter, Sharon Starline; stepsons, David Starline and John Starline; and other relatives.

Mrs. Starline was an organ and tissue donor so that she might share with others after her death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, at the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Manfred Schreyer officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Alexandria Emergency Squad.
