Adam Jacob Stadler, of Route 5, died Friday afternoon at the Topeka Army Air Field hospital, as the result of injuries received when he fell from a fire truck at the Air Field two weeks ago.

Born November 14, 1893 in Topeka, he had lived here all his life.

For many years he operated the Kaw Valley Rug Company, and later took up farming. For the past two years he has been with the fire department at Topeka Army Air Field.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Stadler; four daughters, Mrs. Victor Beier, and Agnes, Lillian and Elizabeth Ann Stadler, all of Topeka; three sons, T/Sgt. Leonard C. Stadler, U.S. Army, and Adam Jr., and Edward, of Topeka; a sister, Mrs. John Ingenthron, Lowell, Mich.; two brothers, George and Peter Stadler, Topeka, and five grandchildren.
