• Graveside rites for Doris Marie Ortley, 72, Lakewood, N.J., will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating.
Born March 29, 1929, at Austin, Texas, to Herman and Virgie Young Erler, she died July 24, 2001, at a Lakewood hospital. She married Lester H. Ortley April 18, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1994.
Mrs. Ortley had lived at Ardmore from 1994 until 1997 when she moved to Lakewood. She was a bookkeeper before her retirement. She was a member of the Elks Club at New Jersey.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Ortley, Ardmore, and Stephen Ortley, Edgewood, N.M.; two brothers, Ruster and Ray Erler, both of California; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are under direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
