Mona S. Lilley, 100, of Bristol, Tennessee, died on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Cambridge House.
She was a life long resident of Sullivan County and a daughter of the late Alfred Sams and Molly Woods Sams.
She was a graduate of Bluff City High School, a life member of Central Christian Church, member of the Loyal Berean Class, and Lucy Roberts Circle, and the past president of the Mountain Vale Garden Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lawrence Lilley.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Lawrence and husband Richard of Bristol, Tennessee; her son, Lawrence "Larry" Lilley and wife Betty of Bristol, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laurie Malyar and husband Curt, Libby Underwood and husband Ken, and Mimi Sullivan and husband Brian; six great grandchildren; sisters, Nina Effinger and Anne Maines; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening, March 5, 2010, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, March 6, 2010, at Central Christian Church with Dr. Ross Dampier officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in Shelby Hills Cemetery.
