Heinrich Fischer tragically died while in custody of the Third Reich in Marburg. Their goal was to coerce him to divorce his Jewish wife Rosa to which he refused. Brave and honorable man. He paid with his life.

Another record that I have reviewed has him in Third Reich custody to which he did not survive. This much is known. He was put under severe pressure simply for being married to a Jewish woman. So tragic. We honor them both on this platform so many years later.
