Voleta M. Willford, 87, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born in Defiance, Ohio on January 13, 1936 the daughter of the late John and Anna (Panning) Wachtmann. On July 1, 1956 she married Fredric C. Willford who preceded her in death on July 13, 2017.

Survivors include her sons, Byron (Susan) Willford, of Columbus, and Mark (Elizabeth) Willford of Hilliard, her grandchildren, Emily (Wes) Campbell, Joshua (Stacia) Willford, John Mark (Emily) Willford, Jackson Willford, Lauren (Salvi) Marchese, Lucas Willford, and Erin (Max) Nelson. Great grandchildren, Avett, Keirian, and Camellia Campbell, and Wade Willford. She is also survived by her companion, Russel Cook, of Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and brothers, Arthur and John Jr. Wachtmann, and sister, Ruth Precht.

Voleta was a school teacher at both Wilson Vance and Jefferson Elementary schools in Findlay from 1968-1995. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and her Bible Study Fellowship group. Voleta was also a long time member at First Lutheran Church, Findlay.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9-11 am at the First Lutheran Church, Findlay. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday at the church with the Rev. Christian Dittmar and Rev. Mark Broadbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Findlay. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to beinmotion.org a Parkinson's nonprofit.
