Paul F. Dirksen, 90, of Springfield, formerly of Florida, died Sunday at Heritage Manor.
He was born Feb. 14, 1907, in Springfield, the son of Paul A. and Mathilda Freund Dirksen.
He married Rose C. Frey in 1940, in Springfield.
A Springfield resident for most of his life, Mr. Dirksen worked as an engineer in the weaver division of Walter Kidde Corporation, retiring in 1972.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Holy Name Society, Springfield Municipal Band, Sarasota Concert Band in Sarasota, Fla., and a former member of Church of the Little Flower.
Survivors: wife, Rose; two brothers, Ed Dirksen of Springfield and Al Dirksen of Salinas, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass: St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
