In the evening of April 1, 2023, Robert Granvil Wisian was called to Heaven. He was 89 years old.

Robert was known by many names, but to the many people who were fortunate to know him he was Bobby in his childhood, with his loving parents and siblings. He was Lieutenant to those he led with the Austin Police Department, where he served for 31 years. He was Coach and Referee to many baseball and football players throughout the years. His greatest names to his remaining family are Dad and Gramps.

Born and raised Lutheran, Robert kept Christ in his life and reaffirmed his commitment to the Lord by converting to Catholicism towards the end of his life.

Robert had many passions in life: football, hunting, fishing, enjoying fine foods, spending time with his friends, enjoying animal companionship, and more.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth, his parents Frederick and Nettie, his brothers Sonny and Freddie, and his sisters Minnie Byrd, and Ann Koerner.

He is survived by his son Robert, daughter-in-law Jennifer, his granddaughter, Melissa Wisian-Harvey, and siblings Larry, and Audrey Stone.

A visitation will occur Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery Mausoleum, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Funeral service for Robert will be held from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Graveside service will be from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM.
