Steven Matthew Meier
Steven Matthew Meier passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 65. Steve was born June 18, 1957 to Matt and Delores Meier in Crosby, North Dakota. While living in several Western states following Matt's career in the oil drilling field, a decision was made to settle in Eugene as the family became school-aged.
Steve was an accomplished athlete at Willamette High School playing both varsity basketball and football. Steve held several positions in the beverage and delivery industries.
Steve was happiest when he was hunting, fishing or camping; spending many hours preparing for the next adventure. He was not the kind to be idle, always helping his neighbors, friends and family on their next project.
He was a loving father of three children, Jake (Alicia and children Beverly and Avelina), Karina (Cody and child Mila) and Stevie (Marissa and child Hazel).
Steve was preceded in death by his father Matt and is survived by his mother Delores, as well as brothers, Bruce (Laurie) and David (Rhonda) and former wife Gloria Meier.
Please join us to celebrate the amazing life of Steve Meier. We will gather to share some of our favorite memories and favorite stories and remember the wonderful father, brother, son, grandfather who will be greatly missed.
The celebration of life in honor of Steve will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at River Road Park, 1 to 6 PM.
