HESSTON -- Albert G. Hahn, 92, died Wednesday (May 29, 2002) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

He was born Nov. 23, 1909, to Mr. and Mrs. Augusta Hahn. They preceded him in death. He married Mildred J. Pierce Jan. 2, 1931, in Halstead. She preceded him in death July 3, 1998.

He was raised in Halstead and graduated from Halstead High School. He was an auto mechanic living in Lyons from 1934 to the mid 1950s. He then moved to Newton and worked at Stevens Spring Factory until retirement. He was a former member of the Lions Club. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newton.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mary Joan Short of Newton; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He also was preceded in death by: a daughter, Nancy Jane Jones; a brother; three sisters; and a granddaughter, Linda Kay Amick.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, all at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Keating of First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
