Anthony James Garcia Sr., 43, of Bay City passed away from this life on April 2, 2023. He was born July 17th, 1979, in Bay City, Texas to Rose T. Garcia and the late Ezequiel D. Garcia Jr.
Anthony was a person who lived a quiet life; in a sense, he stayed to himself, but maintained a love for his family and overall kindness to people that he made contact with. He was involved in many things throughout his life, a love for cars, especially showing off those fancy rims, his caps, his shoes, and his "bling " as he called it. His smile and laugh, that made him irresistible to be around with. After graduating from high school, he worked many jobs and did them all well. As he grew to a young man, he wanted to be like his father, he learned to drive the big rigs (18 wheelers) with such great accuracy, he found out that he had the "gift " to drive, during his down time he loved to play those (loud) games and watch wrestling in his room, this was his sanctuary (a place of peace for him.)
As time passed life brought challenges but he overcame them. His most important mission was to take care of his mother and do the best for his children.
There is so much more to be said but his memory will remain, after all this is all, we have left.
He was preceded in death by his father Ezequiel D. Garcia Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Rose T. Garcia, daughter Gabrielle Renay Garcia; son Anthony James Garcia Jr.; son Ezequiel James Garcia; son Khyson M. Guevara; brother Ezequiel T. Garcia III and wife Charlotte Garcia; sister Jennifer Garcia and Coy Broadwater, Victor Rodriguez, (he called dad); nephew Ronald Lee Gomez Jr, wife Adriana Gomez, great-niece Esme Gomez; great nephews Isaiah Gomez and Israel Gomez; niece Kaitlyn Gomez, fiance' Blaine Grizzle and many cousins, co-workers, friends, aunts and uncles. All will miss him dearly.
A memorial service in honor of his life will be at the Church of God of Prophecy (Northside Chapel); 2711 Carey Smith Blvd. in Bay City, Texas, on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 2:00pm. With Pastor Ezequiel T. Garcia III officiating. Interment at Cedarvale Cemetery will be private.
