Mrs. Marie Gessl, age 83, of 1410 N. 14th St, died Friday, November 22. at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Gessl was born July 22, 1913, in Sheboygan to the late Henry and Catherine Pfister Kunstman. She attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and Sheboygan Vocational School.
On August 29, 1936, she married George Gessl, also of Sheboygan, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Gessl preceded her in death on December 26,1991.
Mrs. Gessl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Turners Ladies Auxiliary, the Senior Center and various social organizations. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Watts of West Lafayette, Ind. and Paulette (Larry) Hinkelman of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Maria (Steve) Neff of West Lafayette, Ind.. Jeffrey (Tanya) Wilson of Sheboygan Falls. Dorothy (Pat) Craney of Waupaca and Wendy (Donnie) Voigt of West St. Paul, Minn, and eight greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, five brothers and three sisters.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 1 1 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Galan Walther, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Entombment will be at Garden Terrace Mausoleum. Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
