Robert Frank Heese, 80, of Westphalia, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at his residence. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia with the Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.

Robert was born in Westphalia, Texas, to the late Frank and Lena Heese. He graduated from Lott High School and lived most of his life in Westphalia. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and on Nov. 27, 1948, married Helen Louise Giere. He was a farmer, a member of the Church of the Visitation, and the Temple VFW.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 1, 1973.

He is survived by his sons, Martin Heese and Kenneth Heese, both of Waco; sister, Selma Engelke, of Waco; and two grandchildren.
