Mrs. Barbara Frieda Moran (Wetzel) of North Caldwell died Monday, March 17, 2008, in the comfort of her home. A wake will be held in the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Tuesday (today) from 3 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in Notre Dame R.C. Church, North Caldwell, on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven, East Hanover. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Moran graduated from Emerson High School in Union City with honors. She went on to become an executive secretary at American Standard in New York City from 1960 to 1964, and then becoming an executive secretary at Allied Signal in Morristown for 18 years, retiring in 2001. After she retired, Mrs. Moran was the trip coordinator of the North Caldwell Senior Citizens and a receptionist at Cranes Mill in West Caldwell. She was the beloved wife of Patrick Moran; the devoted mother of Scott Moran and his wife, Kristine, and her daughter, Keri Moran; cherished grandmother of Ethan and Joseph Moran; loving sister of Lore Hafner, and dear aunt of Richie, Billy, Bobby and Barbara Vietz.
