WW2 Marine vet; POW after 8 May 1942 surrender of 4th Marine Regiment and attached units, Philippine Islands; transferred to Osaka Main POW Camp, Chikko. Liberated 14 Sep 1945 and repatriated to the United States via US Naval Hospital, Oakland, CA. Continued to serve as a Marine through the Korean War. Survived by his wife Felisa Zollinger.
