Scott Douglas Wobken
OCTOBER 30, 1963 – JUNE 20, 2023

Scott Douglas Wobken, born October 30, 1963, in Omaha Nebraska, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 20, 2023, at the age of 59. He was a selfless and devoted girl dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, co-worker, and friend. He loved making memories with his daughters and wife and was an avid firearm collector. Aside from being a devoted partner to his wife, Rosa, Scott loved golfing, going to Balboa Beach, watching crime fighting shows and movies. He had a profound interest in historical events and all things country western. You could expect Scott to share sarcastic jokes, witty comments, and a deep laugh with every person he encountered.

Scott is survived by his wife, Rosamarie (Rosa), his mother, Phyllis, his daughters, Nicole and spouse Deidre Hanson, Katelyn and fiancé Paris Gonsalves. He is also survived by his brothers Gregg and spouse Susie and Kurt and spouse Cris Cassell. In addition, he is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Lynes Wobken.

Scott spent much of his childhood in the Midwest. He moved from Omaha to Green Bay, Wisconsin, with some time in Iowa City, IA. His years in Green Bay are where his love of the Green Bay Packers was born. In 1979, following a 24 inch snowstorm, (after almost 70 inches already on the ground) the family decided to accept a job offer in sunny Orange County. Scott would eventually meet his high school sweetheart and best friend - Rosa - at the tender age of 15. Scott and Rosa dated throughout high school and college. Scott and Rosa would eventually wed in their early 20's; they would have celebrated 38 years of marriage on June 29, 2023.

Scott earned his BS Computer Information Systems from Devry University and his MBA from Naval Postgraduate School. Scott worked as a government contractor for 16 years before building a 21 year career as an eBusiness Manager with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Norco, CA. Throughout the years, Scott diligently provided customer and systems support to the multiple departments he served. At home, Scott and Rosa built a tight knit family on the foundation of honesty and kindness. Scott taught his daughters to be independent women and often enjoyed having his family home be the center of gatherings. You would often hear him say, "Whatever your mother wants."

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 1:30 - 2:30 pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park followed by a graveside service from 2:30 - 3:15 pm. We will continue to honor Scott's life with a reception immediately following the graveside service at 4961 Bluff Street, Norco, CA 92860. Please RSVP to Nicole at 951-264-1915.

Over his lifetime, Scott donated over 12 gallons of blood to Lifestream. You can donate to Lifestream monetarily or in blood donations using this link: https://giftoflife.lstream.org/donor/schedules/geo. You can also donate to a local blood bank or charity of your choice.
