Mrs. Effie Rosenof

Mitchell- Mrs. Effie Elizabeth (Hettinger) Rosenof, 82, of Mitchell, died at a Scottsbluff Hospital early Sunday Morning.

She was born April 19, 1886, in Dietel, Russia where she received her early education.

She married George Hettinger in Russia in 1904 and in 1906 came to the United States to Windsor, Colo. They moved to the Valley area in 1909.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Greeley, Colo.

Survivors include four sons, George, Alex, Henry and Herman Hettinger, all of Mitchell; two daughters, Mrs. Willitta Pieper, of Mitchell and Mrs. Alma Tapster of Torrington; a sister, Mrs. Fred Bruntz of Gering; and 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1946 and by a daughter, a son and a brother.

Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Jones Mortuary in the Mitchell Valley cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Crippled Children's Home in Omaha.
