A memorial service will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home. A private interment take place on January 1, 2022 in Ponce de Leon, Florida.
Ronnie was born January 5, 1955 in Defuniak Springs, Florida to the late Clarence and Alma Odom Bowers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from the U. S. Air Force as a aviation mechanic and electrician. He enjoyed music, especially playing his acoustic guitar, crafts, painting and spending time with his grandson. He was best known as a family oriented man. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddis Bowers.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Michelle Buckner Bowers, a daughter, Patty Bowers, a grandson, Xavier Bowers, 5 sisters; Clarese Floyd, Carmen Wilson, Charlot Lindsey, Connie Strickland, and Carol Robinson, 2 brothers; Kenny Bowers and Robin Bowers, numerous nieces and nephews.
