OBITUARY :
Funeral services for EDGAR NORMAN HUMER will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in change of the Rev. Dr. Paul O. ShetteL.

Mr. Humer had been suffering with a severe cold for the past week and had not seen a physician until Wednesday. He had been confined to his home several days. He was taken critically ill yesterday morning, and was dead on arrival at the Waynesboro Hospital.

The cause of death was a coronary occlusion.

He was born in Waynesboro, a son of Norman S. and Minta E. Bumbaugh Humer Oct. 25, 1910. He lived in Waynesboro until the family moved to Waynesboro R. D. 4 when he was 11 years old.

Following the death of his wife, Alice (Gourley) Schull Humer, he had made his home with his parents.

He had operated an auto body shop at Stop Four, served during World War II, and was a member of the Pennsylvania and Maryland National Guards for 30 years. During the war he served with General George Patton's Third Army as a member of the 94 Reconnaissance.

He is survived by his parents, three brothers and a sister, Samuel C. Humer, Waynesboro R. D. 1; CWO Paul G. Humer, Amarillo, Tex.; Robert W. Humer, at home, and Mrs. James H. Lizer, Jr., Waynesboro; three step-daughters, Mrs. Marvin R. Hackler, Miss Mildred H. Schull and Miss Charlotte A. Schull, Parkton, Md.

Burial will be in Harbaugh's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
