Kent Eric Olson, 59, passed away on October 2, 2023. He was a resident of Franklin, Indiana.
He was born on August 28, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Kurt Olson and Rita (Utterback) Olson.
Kent is survived by his sister, Amy Olson-Dolan (Patrick); brother, Chad Olson; nieces, Lily Dolan, Linnea Dolan, Alana Olson, and Meagan Hollis (Justin); great niece Melissa and great nephew Jackson; and partner, Darla Saladin. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Kurt and Rita.
Kent graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1982. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1984 until his honorable discharge in 1988. Kent received his Master Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
He worked as an Instrumentation Specialist at Cummins Diesel for many years.
Kent served as a volunteer Firefighter and EMT and was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts. He was an avid country music listener and really connected with the band Alabama.
Pastor Jeff Souders will conduct a celebration of life service on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Impact Christian Church at 2800 Graham Road in Franklin. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the church. A private burial will take place at Davids Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to help offset funeral and burial expenses and to have a memorial bench or tree set within Bargersville Parks.
