Heaven gained a beautiful soul when Kim passed away Saturday, April 19th at 12:24PM at Willis Knighton South in Shreveport, Louisiana, after suffering from cardiac arrest at home nine days earlier.

Kim was born in Evansville, IN on May 10, 1963, the daughter of Larry and Louise Robertson. She was raised in Evansville, and attended Bosse High School. After high school, Kim married and had two sons, Chris and Brandon Knepper. Shortly after Brandon was born, she divorced and moved with two of her older sisters, Connie and Tammy, to Bossier City, LA.
She enrolled at Bossier Parish Community College, and while there, remarried and had a third son, Jeff Conly. After college, she worked as a Medical Assistant for several years, and then decided to change careers and went to work at Centenary College, where she was Secretary for Special Gifts & Church Relations for many years. She later went to work for the Shreveport Times newspaper, and was working at an Insurance agency at the time of her death.

Kim was a devoted mother to her three boys and had a great love for her entire family. She loved people, and her enthusiasm for life was evident in her smile, her laugh, and her boundless energy. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed blessing others with creations from her kitchen.
She loved taking photographs of her family, especially of her boys, and would hang their pictures on every wall, as well as filling up many a scrapbook. She also had a special affinity for bears, and had quite a collection.

A visitation was held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Centenary College's Brown Chapel. Reverend Betsy Eaves officiated and led the singing, with words of reflection given by her good friend Jill Grigsby, and the Message given by Reverend Robert Finley. The chapel was full of family and friends. Following the service, a large funeral procession then proceeded to Centuries Memorial Park, where her body was interred under a large, shady tree. The day was beautiful, which was appropriate.

Kim was preceded in death by her step-grandson, Hayden Wayne Merritt.

Survivors include her loving husband, Christian; parents, Larry and Louise Robertson of Evansville, IN; three children, Chris Knepper, Brandon Knepper, and Jeff Conly, three step-children, Phillip & Jesi Merritt and Christian Derrick; three sisters, Connie Angel and husband Gayle, Tammy Cogar and husband Pug, and Toni Kanzler; two brothers, Eddy Mercer and Larry Joe Robertson and wife Teresa; granddaughters, Marina and Hailey and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kim was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was as full of life as anyone you will ever meet. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
