George F. Ackenheil 78 years old passed away on November 11, 2023, at home. George was born January 20, 1945, in Berkeley, California to the late George O. Ackenheil and Verna Bush Ruskie. He was the oldest of three children. Kathy preceded in his death.

George married the late Imosene (Stiles) Ackenheil. There were two sons born from this Union.

George was a maintenance manager for many years in the wine industry. He had certificates for water treatment, boiler, and backflow operations. George worked for Gallo Winery, Woodbridge, Sebastani, and Korbel before retiring, he also worked for the California Dairies and Silian walnut plant. George served in the Navy and in the Vietnam war. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge.

George leaves behind his sons, Blair (Maggie) Ackenheil) of Bakersfield and Neil (Jennifer) Ackenheil of Patterson; grandchildren, Josh and Alex Ackenheil, Trevor Young, Morgan and Mason Ackenheil, all of Patterson.

Neil and I dedicated the past few years for the care of his dad. We promised him and by the grace of God we were able to keep him at home. I sat with him and held his hand until George took his last breath.

I would like to thank Seva Hospice, Elise with Professional Care Service and Amanda with the Veteran Affairs.
