He ran a family owned jewelry business, the Walter Zimmer Co., and was an active member of Glendale Presbyterian Church. He is survived by Arla, his wife of 64 years; three children, and four grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at Glendale Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Louise St., Glendale, California, 91205.
