Claudette G. Zellmann age 87 of Young America passed away on Friday December 15, 2023 at the Gardens in Winsted.
Funeral Service Tuesday December 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church (101 SE 2nd Ave.) in Norwood Young America with Rev. Josh Bernau as officiant. Visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at church. Interment Mau Memorial Cemetery.
Claudette was born in March 20, 1936 in Bergen Twp. the daughter of Millard and Matilda (Thomassen) Gow. She was baptized on August 25, 1945 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Young America by Rev. Kraemer. Claudette was confirmed on April 10, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Young America by Rev. Kraemer. She loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren. Claudette worked at 3M, Tonka Toys, Fingerhut and Zellmann Oil during her lifetime. She was a life long member of St. John' Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America. Claudette liked a number of activities which included, fishing, bird watching, reading and really enjoyed bowling in her young years.
Claudette was preceded in death by her husband's Howard Stender and Lyle Zellmann; parents Millard and Matilda Gow; mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law Hubert and Erna Zellmann, Otto and Alice Stender; sisters Loretta (Wilbur) Schmidt, Lorraine (Raymond) Dittmar; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gordon (LaJane) Stender, Virgil Zellmann, Sylvia (Butch) Heinbockel.
