Levi Brown
June 13, 1926 - August 30, 2022

Levi "Pete" Brown fell asleep peacefully in his home on August 30th 2022. Levi was born in Huntsville, Texas on June 13th, 1926 to Joseph and Mary Brown. He was one of 14 children, 9 boys and 5 girls.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Joe Brown, brothers, Joseph, Roger, Leon, Ernest, Earl, and Ray Brown, sisters, Viola Carter, Lily Brown, Eloise Allen and Lona Doughtie.

On February 14th 1958, at the age of 31 Levi symbolized his dedication to God by being baptized as one of the Jehovah's Witnesses alongside his wife and son Homer. His deep love for Jehovah touched every aspect of his life. He was a life-long student of the God's word as well as an effective teacher of Bible truths.

Levi was known for his loving attention and generosity when it came to helping those in need, this was exemplified in the selfless way he cared for his wife, Doris up until her death in 2003. It was shown in his volunteer spirit when assisting with Disaster Relief Work and regular helping at Kingdom Hall construction projects.

Even the hard work he poured in to cultivating his vegetable garden year after year was a generous expression of love to his extended spiritual family who were always welcome to come by and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Coupled with his generosity, Levi genuine kindness made him a favorite in his local community too. Whether he was lending a ladder to his neighbor or bringing someone a Bible based journal and a sack of greens, "Mr. Brown", as he was called, was always a welcome visitor.

In December 2014 Levi married Elois Ann and instantly his extended family grew yet again with the addition of Ann's sons Joseph, Mark, Troy, and their respective families. Levi cherished his dear Ann and she in return lovingly and tirelessly cared for him right up until his death.

In addition to Ann, Levi is survived by his sister Mamie Rutledge, His brother Billy Mack Brown (Charlotte) and Glen Brown (Minnie 1944-2018); and his sister-in-law Iris Brown (Leon 1925-2021); 5 grandchildren: Janine, Jason, Aaron, Damon, and Amanda; two great grandchildren Dusty and Zachary, one great great grandchild, nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephew. And a host of friends.

Levi will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
