McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Peggy Bowman Hollis, age 87, died January 11, 2024 after an extended illness.

She was a homemaker, Avon saleswoman, longtime member of Earleyville Church of Christ, and was a competitive Rook player at the Senior Center.

Mrs. Hollis was the daughter of the late Hoyd Littleton and Minnie Pearl Smith Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Franklin Hollis; grandson, Christopher Hollis; great-grandson, Carter King; brothers, Keith Bowman, and Edward Bowman; and sisters, Ruth Boren, Doris Hibdon, and Shirley Borren.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Linda Hollis of Hillsboro, TN, and Barry and Kim Hollis of McMinnville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Billy Jones of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren, Terah McBride, Traci Jones, Craig Hollis, Leslie King, Mark Jones, and Cameron Jones; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Bowman of Carthage, TN; and sister, Louise Hillis of McMinnville, TN.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2023 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Richard Bowman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren County Senior Center or Meals on Wheels.
