Betty was born August 27, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Della (Lassere) Hart and Walter Kraus Sr. She graduated from McKinley High School, Class of 1947. Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Ralph Coquillette on September 9, 1950, in Coggon, Iowa. She worked as an office manager until her retirement. Betty enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling. She loved spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Sharon) Coquillette of Cedaredge, Colorado; two grandchildren, Shannon Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, and Derek Dolezal of Woodside, New York; three great-grandchildren, Cayden Johnson, Cassidy Johnson, and Beatrice Dolezal; siblings, Walter Kraus Jr. of Cedar Rapids, JoAnn Wilkin, Irvin (Lou) Hart of Cedar Rapids, and Harry (Evelyn) Hart of Malone, Illinois; son-in-law, David Dolezal of Des Moines, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Harlan Johnson Sr.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Della and Irvin Hart; father, Walter Kraus Sr.; husband, Kenneth Coquillette; daughter, Corrine Dolezal; sister, Imogene Johnson; and sister-in-law, Billie Kraus.
