Margaret was the daughter of Johann Heinrich Pohlschneider and Catharina Maria Tangeman. She married Johann Heinrich Jacob Baumer on 10/14/1813 in Luthmerdings Lebzucht zu Ruschendorf, Damme. They immigrated to Cincinnati in 6/1839. Jacob died either on the ship or shortly thereafter. Margaret and Jacob had 6 daughters born in Ruschendorf, but 1 died before they immigrated. The oldest daughter, Catherine, was married and immigrated in 1836. Their daughters were Catharina Maria 1814 - 1884, Anna Maria Elizabeth 1815 - 1817, Maria Anna 1820, Maria Agnes 1826-1848, Anna Maria 1830-1896, and Anna Maria Bernadine 1834 - 1915.
