Mary Sue Mooney
COOKSON – Mary Sue Mooney, the daughter of Soad and Madge (Lawley) Ballew, was born September 27, 1931, in Cookson, and departed this life on August 30, 2008 in Tulsa, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 3 days.

Mary loved embroidery and made many beautiful things for her friends and family. She also loved working in her flower garden and spending time with her family and being surrounded by her loved ones. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary married Eugene Mooney (buried at this cem.) on July 22, 1948 and to this union four daughters were born: Linda, Susan, Jeanette and Lori.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Mooney, and one sister, Marie (Cis) Thomas.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at the United Methodist Church, in Cookson. Interment will follow at the Cookson-Proctor Cemetery, in Cookson. Services are under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cookson United Methodist Church.Reed-Culver Funeral Home, 117 W. Deleware.
