Daniel Michael McElroy passed away in the early morning hours on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 in Dallas, Texas from Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain cancer. He was in the hands of family members at his bed side when he passed peacefully. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society. Information for a funeral service in Dallas will be passed when it becomes available. Daniel's remains will be inurned at the Columbarium at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He will receive full military honors at that time. That service will be open to all who wish to attend, both military and civilian included, and will occur in the Spring.
