Dorothy R. Pfeiffer, 82, of Willow Street, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2008 at home with her loved ones by her side. Born in Mount Joy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Susan Rinehart. She was the wife of the late Robert R. Pfeiffer, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2002.
Dorothy graduated from J.P. McCaskey in 1946. She helped her husband as bookkeeper and runner in their business, Pfeiffer?s Garage in Lancaster starting in 1958 continuing until her vision became impaired. After that she took great pride in her family and enjoyed their company.
She is survived by her children, Robert R., Jr. married to Joanne (Tout) Pfeiffer, Susan H. married to David G. Butt, and David C. Pfeiffer all of Willow Street, PA. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
