Evelyn Nadine Crull, 83, of Kirkland died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Rosewood Care Center in Rockford. Born Sept. 3, 1924, in Peabody, Kan., daughter of Harry and Minnie (Blount) Uphoff. She married Marion Grimm on June 30, 1943, in Kirkland on the farm; she later married George Crull on Aug. 12, 1978, in Kirkland United Methodist Church. She retired as an inspector in 1979 after working for GTE Automatic Electric in Genoa for 25 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kirkland and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Kirkland High School, class of 1942. Survived by daughters, Ruth Ann Hathaway of Machesney Park, Peggy (Tony) Barcellona of Rockford and Helen (Elton) Steele of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; brother, William (Barbara) Uphoff of Franklin Grove; sister, Shirley Upstone of Kirkland; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nie-ces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; husbands; brothers, Edward and Robert Uphoff; sister, Margaret Way; and son-in-law, Don Hathaway. Celebration of Life service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, in Kirkland United Methodist Chu-rch, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Michael Morrell will officiate. Interment in Maple Cemetery in Kirkland. Memorial fund is established for the church in care of Quiram-Kirkland Funeral Home, P.O. Box 337, Kirkland, IL 60146.
