Mrs. Katie Williams
Okolona, Miss., June—Mrs. Katie Bean Williams, 49, wife of W J Williams, former sheriff of Chickasaw County, died suddenly at her home here this morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She had been in ill health for the past several years.
Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late G W and Zelda Bean, pioneer residents of this community.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Mrs. T O Mabry, Jr., of Hazlehurst; two sons, George and James, of this city, and Wesley, Jr., of Minneapolis; and three brothers, George of this city; Paul Bean of Dallas, Texas; and C M Bean of Ardmore, Okla.
From a findagrave visitor:
Note: Her three children shown below on memorial page. Obituary incorrect in stating sons George and James--his name was George James Williams. And Wesley was Thomas Wesley Williams, not Wesley, Jr. Michael Mayberry
