Mary Dowling was born on the 12th of February 1872 to James Dowling and Ellen McArdle in Drumguin, Hacketstown. Mary married Thomas Barry on the 28th of November 1895. They had a number of children, one of whom was Kevin Barry. They lived at 8 Fleet St, Dublin. Mary was made a widow at an early age and then lost her son in 1920. I'm sure Kevin's tragic death took its toll on Mary. Nevertheless, Mary lived on to a good age and died on the 20th of August 1953. She was 81. May she rest in peace
