Lawyer, Doctor of Jurisprudence and Politics. He was the founder of the Discount Bank in Guayaquil in 1920, being its Manager until February 20, 1952. Principal Director of the Guayaquil Charity Board, President of the LEA, Executive Director of the Guayas Highway Committee. Constitutional President of the Republic between September 17, 1947 and August 31, 1948.
